If you’re an actor or actress that wins the Academy Award, clearly god likes you. Why doesn’t he like the others?

I often see football (American football) players praying before and after games, usually with members of the opposing team. Do you think that the players from the losing team didn’t pray hard enough? Why didn’t god like them?
